It's Over But Not Forgotten
Greetings to all!
We have just concluded a wonderful adventure, and a big part of this was the people who were with us. Of course a special thanks goes to Steve who so efficiently took care of the hundreds of details in setting everything in motion, and to Brent and Marsha. I know this is a business with them, but I felt as though they were friends guiding us on a tour of some of their favorite places... They are incredible...
And a big thank you to several who helped make this a memorable tour: Kirk for guiding to us to that excellent kitchen across from the hotel in Playa Del Carmen, Heidi who showed a remarkable example of good cheer in the face of adversity while waiting for her wandering suitcase, Kelly who shared her poignant story, Chris, who was an example of how we hope all our children and grandchildren would act on a tour, Ann for her beautiful voice, Sheri, whose smile was bright, even when climbing a steep temple,
Gay Nell who shared her testimony and set an example of courage, Carol, who never found a cenote she didn’t like, Jan who set a perfect Sabbath tone with his beautiful poem, sweet Noreen (now an adopted member of the Clark-Harrison families) who I hope will remember not to pack obsidian knives in her carry-on next time, and all the Berretts who concluded each night with a wild game of Texas Hold’em, (or maybe something a little tamer... )
And of course our own family, including sister, kids, nieces and nephews....It was great getting to know all of you better and to see you interacting with cousins that you seldom see. We worried that the Clark and Harrison contingents were a little overwhelming at times.
A final word for the Gundersons... Our prayers are with you as you work to resolve the terrible damage to your home. We sincerely pray that you will be able to quickly get everything in order to once again enjoy your retirement retreat.
