Introducing Your Tour Directors and Alumni Hosts

Brent and Marsha said I could post a picture as long as it was flattering, well here are a couple. This will be our third alumni tour with the Fieldsteds, who have been leading tours to Meso-America now for over 20 years. Brent is geography teacher by training and is the former principal of of Union High School in Roosevelt, Utah. They both have a great love for this area and from my experience with hosting tours they produce great trips because of their attention to pre-planning, knowledge of the region, and focus on the details. They will never book a hotel, recommend a restaurant, or plan excursions that they have not personally tested. Brent and Marsha host several trips each year to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras. I am very gratefully they agree to fit the BYU-Idaho Alumni group in each year.

I (Steve) have been the Alumni Director at BYU-Idaho for the past 10 years and employed at the university for the past 24. I have hosted tours to Mexico, Alaska, the Caribbean, and Europe. My son Christopher is 14, hopes to be a history professor, and ius super friendly. He will be packing 5 days worth of homework so he may be asking for some math help.

On our last tour he dashed up ruins, explored every nook and cranny, and he especially liked trying all the exotic foods. He is severely disappointed that the mangoes will not be in season in January. Our last tour was in June, which was much hotter, but he fruit was really in season. As for me, I will take just right temps and just real

good Mexican food.
